Bern, Baby, Bern in “Hell (All Y’all) Women Who Don’t Support Hillary”?

Sanders Women 20A fatwa against young women?

Hell hath no fury like a…

Who said that? William Congreve or William Shakespeare?

Two high priestess of the establishment democratic party last week issued their fatwas from the Clinton Canine Command Center (CCCC) against wayward young American women who do not tow the line blindly and follow Hillary Clinton to her former digs, The White House.

Madeline Albright, former secretary of state under Bill Clinton, was unleashed to visit her wrath and fury upon young American women who support Bernie Sanders last week.

Albright said, “We can tell our story of how we climbed the ladder, and a lot of you younger women think it’s done.  It’s not done. There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other!”

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Has Madeline gone mad?

Albright ain’t all too bright for casually consigning young women supporter Bernie Sanders to a “special place in hell”.

I am just curious. Could that special place be “Hellary”?

I think Albright misunderstood the old saying about her former profession: “A diplomat is a person who can tell you to go to hell in such a way that you actually look forward to the trip.”

But not to “a special place in hell”!

A “special place in hell” reserved for perfidious young female supporters of Sanders? Where could that be?

Gee whiz! Of course, it is Level 9-Cocytus in Dante Alighieri’s nine circles of hell.

Dante reserved that the special place in hell for infamous traitors like Judas, Brutus, and Cassius. Now, these traitors could expect the company of millions of gender traitors if archangel Madeline’s prophesy is fulfilled.

“All hope abandon ye who enter here” is the inscription at the entrance of Dante’s Hell.

Is Albright telling young women supporters, “All hope abandon ye American women who join the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign.”

Time was even women suspected of supernatural powers in Salem, Massachusetts were given trials before they were incinerated and dispatched to hell (general population, that is).

The gender Benedict Arnolds who support Bernie Sanders are not even worthy of incineration at the stake. They will go  straight to Level 9 (the earthly equivalent of a penitentiary SHU (super high security special housing unit) reserved for the worst of the worst.)

What is the point of sending the young women to a special place in hell?  Hasn’t Albright heard “Hell is empty and all the devils are here.”?  (I did not say ShEvils.)

After the media sweated Albright for a few days, she apologized. It was “my undiplomatic moment”, Albright bleated.  She explained, “I absolutely believe what I said, that women should help one another, but this was the wrong context and the wrong time to use that line. I did not mean to argue that women should support a particular candidate based solely on gender.”

This is my undiplomatic diplomatic moment! Is this what they call diplomatic doublespeak, a/k/a gobbledygook?

Hillary “laughed, slowly clapped and took a large sip of her beverage” after Albright delivered her fire and brimstone warning to the treacherous young women.

Enter Gloria Steinem. The old-guard feminist added insult to injury by blaming young women’s pheromones for their attraction to Bernie: “When you’re young, you’re thinking, ‘Where are the boys?’ The boys are with Bernie.”

Bernies Boys and their harems, eh?

How humiliating and demeaning to young American women?

I am no biologist but the animals that chase after the opposite sex driven by pheromones include squid, lobsters, ants, fish, salamanders and mice.

And now, of course, young American women if Steinem is to be believed.

What is Albright’s and Steinem’s message? “Boys will be boys and girls will…” If young American women don’t support Hillary Clinton, we’re going to bern (excuse me, burn) them at the stake on their way to a special place in hell!? The test of assertive womanhood is support for Hillary and other women candidates for political office?

Do Albright and Steinem really believe young American women are so brainless that they will support Bernie Sanders driven by irrepressible primordial libidinal urges?

Ah! The hubris of power and the power hungry!

It was Gloria Steinem who said, “A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle.”

Fish and bicycles for old-guard feminists.

For 21st century young American women, Bernie’s Boys will be just fine, thank you?

Steinem also apologized, “I misspoke on the Bill Maher show recently, and apologize for what’s been misinterpreted as implying young women aren’t serious in their politics.” She explained,  “What I had just said on the same show was the opposite: young women are active, mad as hell about what’s happening to them…”

Is it “young women are mad as hell” or there is a “special place in hell for (young) women” who do not support Hillary?

What’s wrong about making a simple apology and moving on? “I had an unfortunate senior moment. It happens to the best of us. Sorry!”

But what is the real message of the old guards?

Women vote for women? African Americans for African Americans? Whites for Whites? Christians for Christians…? Or we’re gonna b(e)urn you at the stake and send you to a special place in hell?

Who was that dude who told us, “There is not a liberal America and a conservative America – there is the United States of America. There is not a black America and a white America and Latino America and Asian America – there’s the United States of America.” Did Barack Obama say anything about “a woman America, a man America…?”

The old guards of the 20th century want to tell the Millennials of the 21st what to think and how to behave. They want the young people to tow the line or else. They want to scare them into believing that without the old guards’ guardianship, they have no future. They want to treat the Millennials as a ship of fools.

The old guards are simply clueless about the Sturm und Drang of the brave new world of young people today.

A female college student protesting statement made by Albright and Steinem in a letter to editor of the N.Y. Times complained  about  “being condescended to by other women about the presidential election.” She protested in a barrage of irate questions: “How dare these women imply that young women who vote for Senator Sanders are simply too immature and absent-minded to understand that Hillary Clinton is the better candidate? Is it possible that some young women are voting for Mr. Sanders because they agree with his policies more? How dare these women imply that young women who vote for Senator Sanders are simply too immature and absent-minded to understand that Hillary Clinton is the better candidate?”

She concluded, “If we are going to assume that women are intelligent enough to form their own opinions, then women must respect other women’s choices.” You go, girl! Tell it like it is!

Young people who support or gravitate towards Sanders feel disenchanted about their own future and feel the American dream is dead for them personally. Most don’t give a hoot about the “socialist” label.  That is according to a recent poll conducted by Harvard University’s Institute of Politics. Didn’t they call Obama socialist?  Who ended up being Wall Street’s best friend forever (BFF))?

Many young women having faced their own moral crises watching their American dream turn into a pipe dream, indignant over making 78 cents an hour on the average compared to men, struggling to exhale under crushing student loans and constant threats to their personal autonomy have cast their lot with Bernie.

Albright and Steinem “doth protest too much, methinks.”

Establishment Democrats are in full meltdown mode, the political equivalent of the China Syndrome. Bernie Sanders is scaring the hell out of them. (I did not say scaring them out of a special place in hell.)

Every day, one of the old guards (I did not say old guard dogs) is trotted out to babble a derogatory statement about Bad Bernie or how Bernies Boys and Girls are naïve, foolish, short-sighted, gullible, half-witted and mindless they are.

Lo and behold how those in power and hungry and salivating for power will always seek to demonize, anathematize, immobilize, infantilize, delegitimize, scandalize, stigmatize and even eroticize their challengers and opponents just to grab and cling to power.

Another elderly feminist in a letter to the Times editor wrote she “angry and horrified that Gloria Steinem and Madeleine Albright think that Hillary Clinton should be nominated because she is a woman.” It’s not about gender she concluded: “The stakes in this election are extremely high and will determine whether the United States will move further right toward an oligarchy or left toward greater democracy.”

Seems a rather easy choice.

Robert Frost has spoken for my choice: “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood/  And sorry I could not travel both/…/ I shall be telling this with a sigh/  Somewhere ages and ages hence:/  Two roads diverged in a wood and I—/ I took the one less traveled by,/ And that has made all the difference.

I am afraid millions of young American women and young Americans will take the road less travelled and leave behind at the fork their own fatwas against Hillary and her Canine Command telling them to go to a special place in…

Bernie should just keep on berning to the mantra of Gandhi’s maxim: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

“Then you win, then you win, then you win… “♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫
