The total collapse of U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and the triumphant seizure of Kabul by the Taliban in less than a week is testimony to the ineptitude, incompetence, denial of stark reality and total cluelessness of Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
Watching throngs of Afghans and Americans trying to board flights out of Kabul, President Joe Biden said the “buck stops with him on Afghanistan.”
The tragic fact of the matter is that had Blinken been stopped from being Secretary of State and a seasoned foreign policy expert appointed in his place, there would have not been the need for stopping the buck and many opportunities to save the American taxpayer lots of bucks in Afghanistan.
Blinken’s incompetence was in full display when he went toe to toe with Chinese diplomats in Anchorage, Alaska in March.
Responding to Blinken, China’s State Councilor Wang Yi first schooled Blinken on racial disparity and violence in the U.S. and then declared, “Certainly this is miscalculated and only reflects the vulnerability and weakness inside the United States and it will not shake China’s position or resolve on those issues.”
The much ballyhooed Biden-Putin meeting in Geneva in June produced merely empty press releases. Obviously, Blinken did not do his job to at least claim moral victory from that meeting.
A couple of days ago, the U.S. slapped additional sanctions on Russia.

On August 22, Polyanna Biden with rhetorical relish asked, “What interest do we have in Afghanistan at this point with al-Qaida gone? We went to Afghanistan for the express purpose of getting rid of al-Qaida in Afghanistan, as well as… getting Osama bin Laden. And we did.”
Blinken asked a “Simple question: Is al-Qaida gone from Pakistan – from Afghanistan?” responded, “Al-Qaida’s capacity to do what it did on 9/11, to attack us, to attack our partners or allies from Afghanistan, is vastly, vastly diminished.
That is like saying the cancer is cured even though it shows up in a couple parts of the body.
Al-Quaida is a cancer on the global body politics. In less than a year, it will no doubt reorganize in Afghanistan and wreak havoc the world over.
But Team Blinken-Biden keep be talking about Afghanistan from Planet Denial-istan!

The collapse of Afghanistan and the exact role Blinken likely was to play was foretold by the late Senator John McCain in 2014.
McCain told his Senate colleagues he uncharacteristically opposed Blinken’s nomination because Blinken is not only “unqualified” for the position of Deputy Secretary of State but downright “dangerous to America.” (Watch 105 second video below.)

I rise to discuss my opposition to the pending vote concerning Mr. Anthony (Tony) Blinken, who is not only unqualified, but in fact in my view, one of the worst selection from a very bad lot that this president has chosen. I hope that many of my colleagues will understand that not often do I come to the floor to oppose a nomination of the president of the United States because I believe that elections have consequences.
In this case, this individual has actually been dangerous to America and to the young men and women who are fighting and serving it. Let us just review a couple of some of the elements in particular and Mr. Blinken’s role in conceptualizing and furthering it.
US foreign policy is in a shambles. It is at best strategic and at worst anti-strategic.
I’ll move on to Afghanistan. Mister Blinken said, “We’ve been very clear. We’ve been consistent. The war will be concluded by the end of 2014 an that time table will not change.”
This is why I am so worried about him being in the position that he’s in. Because if they stick to that time table, I’m telling my colleagues that we will see the replay of Iraq all over again.
We must leave stabilizing force behind of a few thousand troops. Or we will see again what we saw in Iraq. So, let’s move on to Syria…
So, let’s move on to Ethiopia…

Blinken wants to make Ethiopia the new Afghanistan
For the past nine months, Blinken, Susan Rice, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, and of late Samantha Power, have been threatening Ethiopia with all sorts of actions if Ethiopia does not negotiate with the terrorist group Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF).
In May 2021, the U.S. imposed “visa sanctions” on unnamed individuals in Ethiopia.
Barely a week ago, Jeffrey Feltman, “Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa” travelled to Ethiopia and two other countries in the region and deliver an ultimatum to the Ethiopian government.
According to deliberately leaked information to an anonymous congressional source, Feltman is expected to tell Ethiopian leaders:
All options are on the table, from Global Magnitsky (sanctions over human rights violations) to an executive order on sanctions, to removal from (the African Growth and Opportunity Act), to more restrictive measures on assistance as well as ways to block Ethiopia’s efforts to get cash from international financial institutions.
Blinken, Rice and Co. want the TPLF to seize power by negotiations in 2021 just as Herman Cohen, then Assistant Secretary for African Affairs, hoodwinked the people of Ethiopia by announcing at the negotiating table “the TPLF rebel leadership has assured us that they plan for a broadly based provisional government leading to a democratic constitution for Ethiopia.”
That plan proved to be an apartheid state totally dominated by the TPLF.
For decades, every time the TPLF found its rear end in the ringer and boxed in, it cries out, “We are ready to negotiate! We are ready to talk!”
For the TPLF, negotiations, discussions, elections, etc. are all games.
Deadly games. Zero-sum games.
The disaster of U.S. arranged negotiations
The last time the U.S. insisted a legitimate government negotiate with a terrorist group, that terrorist group used the negotiation process to buy time, organize and strengthen itself and launch a final deadly attack and take over power by sheer military force.
That is exactly what happened in Afghanistan.
The Ethiopian Government will not repeat the mistakes the Afghan Government by playing a game of negotiations with the TPLF.
It will negotiate with the TPLF in the battlefield in the only language the TPLF understands.
The Biden administration must stop treating Ethiopia as if it is its colony.
The imperial attitude of ordering and commanding the Ethiopian Government to negotiate with the TPLF smacks of the old colonial order.

I believe the Biden administration is currently working with Egypt, Sudan and France to militarily pressure Ethiopia from without.
It is an open secret that so-called Tigray refugees, many of them suspects in the Mai Cadra massacres of November 2020, are undergoing training to invade Ethiopia from the west and link up with TPLF forces in the east. The TPLF’s recent attacks and incursions are desperate efforts to make linkage with Sudanese-trained, I believe with U.S. covert support, TPLF forces.
I believe Samantha Power’s visit to Sudan a couple of weeks ago was to give the green light for the training and deployment of TPLF “refugees” (terrorists) against Ethiopia.
For months, the U.S. has been working to strengthen the Sudanese armed forces.
In March 2021, Samantha Power, USAID chief, said, “The United States agrees that Sudan’s army should have a single and unified command.”
Unified command for what?
Invasion of Ethiopia, of course!
In October 2019, Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok hailed Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed as “a true leader whose service to Ethiopia and Africa is exemplary.” Hamdok tweeted PM Abiy “has been instrumental in creating economic stability and promoting peace in the regime.”
In August 2021, Hamdok had completely forgotten the favor the “true leader” had done for Sudan.
On August 8, 2021, “Sudan recalled her ambassador to Ethiopia after a mediation offer was rejected by the Ethiopian Government.
The idea of mediation was adding insult to injury. Sudan had crossed the Ethiopian border and occupied lands. Now, it offers to mediate between Ethiopian and a terror group!
The audacity of arrogance. But Sudan had to do what it was told to do by its U.S. and Egyptian bankrollers.
On August 13, 2021, France “suspended an agreement on military cooperation between France and Ethiopia.”
On August 13, 2021, in advance of Jeffrey Feltman’s trip to Ethiopia, it was leaked through a “congressional source” Feltman is expected to tell Ethiopian leaders:

History has repeated itself on August 14, 2021.
IN August 2021, the Taliban, a low-down, no-accounting, ragtag group of terrorists has overrun Afghanistan and driven out Americans after the U.S. lost thousands of lives and trillions of dollars.
